Originally occupied by the Alfieri family of Magliano, the castle was a place of peace and residence for a number of well-known personalities, , such as Count Catalano Alfieri and Monica Maillard de Tournon, mother of Vittorio Alfieri.
Today, a series of painstaking restorations have restored the building to its former glory. Divided into wings and rooms, in addition to the Restaurant, it houses the Hall of Coats of Arms, the Noble Chapel and the Museum of Plaster Ceilings. An artistic and historical treasure that is definitely worth visiting, the Castle’s exceptional location allows visitors to admire the Langhe and Roero in all their majestic beauty.

In the heart of the castle’s central tower is a room of undoubted beauty: characterised by exquisite and meticulous high relief stucco decoration, the Hall of Coats of Arms is the jewel in the crown of the Alfieri family’s patronage of the arts.
Built between the 17th and 18th centuries with the precise intention of celebrating the power and prestige of the dynasty, the hall is decorated with clear symbols and effigies. Following major restoration work, the Hall of Coats of Arms has been accessible since the 1990s and is particularly appreciated by our guests as a venue for civil ceremonies, conferences, exhibitions and concerts.
